Eggplant (Aubergine) "Karlson".
An early-ripening, large-fruited variety, one of the most unpretentious and high-yielding. For growing under film covers, in southern regions – in open ground. The first fruits are harvested 95-115 days after emergence. The plants are compact, up to 1 m high, bloom abundantly and form a large number of ovaries. The first fruits reach 1100 g, the rest 250-350 g. The thorns on the calyx are sparse. The flesh is dense, without voids and bitterness, with few seeds. The taste qualities after culinary processing are excellent. The variety is perfectly suited for canning and freezing. The yield in protected ground is – 7-8 kg/m2.

In the phase of one true leaf, the seedlings are pricked out. After the appearance of side shoots, the 3-5 strongest are left, the rest are pinched off. At the end of August, the 5-6 largest ovaries are left on the plant, the rest are removed.
